In September of 2011, Microsystems, Inc. won a $200,000 contract to digitize Madison County IL Circuit Clerks rare Probate and other miscellaneous bound books. Check out the following site to see how Madison County is sharing some of what we scanned with the public;

Using Zeutschel scanners, we scanned over 1,000 bound books, many over 600 pages thick. Zeutschel engineered scanners, in use by the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration, allow for imaging of the smallest bound book to oversize books and newspapers with an open dimension of up to 34″ x 48″.

Automatic color management and the Perfect Book software – 3D scan technology for perfect book curve correction and automatic document detection allows for great image quality to all four corners of the book.
